A H U G E thank you to Senator James Tedisco for visiting us, for this special lesson.  He participated in our instant activity, helped judge our awesome team activities AND jogged through New York State. Phew!  We got a lot out of his stories of his participation in sports.  Wow, he was a GREAT basketball player. **And probably still is 🙂

BTW…Sitting is NOT an option anymore.  We choose to move because it feels good and it what our body needs!!

This is my favorite time of the year.  The fall weather, warm cider and family gatherings!

I am so grateful for my family, our health, my amazing career and the students and staff that inspire me every day!

Trooper Mac Visits Pashley

We love to invite female role models to join us for Physical Education Class.  Today our guest is also a HERO.

New York State Trooper “Mac” talked to us about having our inner voice, being strong on the inside and out, and to pay attention with our senses.  She also shared how important FITNESS is to her career!! Trooper Mac is the BEST!!

Ways to Keep the Stress OUT of Your Holidays!

After last weekend, I know just how STRESS can affect our holiday season.

(I couldn’t find a parking spot at the mall, I was late to my Yoga class, and I couldn’t make it in time to my daughter swim meet)

So, help me make of list of ways to reduce holiday stress.  This is my list so far…

1-Make exercise a priority.   (Get to a Yoga class on time)

2-Pack and eat extra healthy snacks, to balance the sweet treats (that seem to be everywhere!)

3-Make time to spend with your family.  Playing a game or just hang out.
